Moon Sand Cleaning and Sterilization

One of the drawbacks to clay, play-doh, floam and other similar childrens toys is that they become incubators of germs. This is especially true in school settings where multiple children use the same product day to day. Heading into flu season this is the last thing we want any of our children exposed to.

Moon sand solves this problem by easily being sanitized. Just put a 1/3 Hydrogen Peroxide 2/3 water mixture in a water bottle. Spread the sand evenly in the tray. Spray the sand with the mixture and allow it to sit over night to dry.

This allows parents to take comfort in knowing their children are playing with a safe, clean toy. This also makes Moonsand ideal for children's hospitals.

How do I use Moon Sand,

How do I use Moon Sand, do I have to prepare it Can Moon Sand be Baked?
Yes, Place your Moon Sand creation in a household oven for 1 hour at 250° F/125° C. Allow the block of sand to cool in the oven. It now transforms into a synthetic-like stone, and becomes and ideal carving material. All the material that is carved away can be reused since it never dries out. Water-based paints can be applied to the sculpture in the hard phase.
